2nd edition of Baby Boomers & Seniors Expo slated for October

20110906-031921.jpgFollowing the massive success of last year’s “Baby Boomers & Seniors Expo,” which drew some 15,000 people to the Puerto Rico Convention Center in two days, event organizers are gearing up to celebrate the second edition, Oct. 1-2.

The event, which focuses on a segment that represents about 30 percent of the island’s population, includes a full schedule of workshops as well as a broad exhibit of service providers and companies catering to that active group, said William del Valle, who is producing the event along with executives Eric García and Annette Rodríguez.

Under the tagline “Forever Young,” the free event is expected to draw 25,000 people this year, organizers said, noting, “this public is becoming a target to lots of companies, since is known that the seniors and baby boomers are living an active retirement life.”

Represented at the event will be banks, travel service providers, trade organizations, restaurants, and medical companies that will set up booths throughout four main pavillions to be set up at the Convention Center, del Valle said.

The agenda also include entertainment by local and international artists. For more information about the Expo, call 787-298-2416 or 787-565-2438.
