Business communications and collaboration systems and services provider, Avaya, recently held its Caribbean Partner Connection Day 2012 in Puerto Rico, where it recognized the work of its partners on the island and throughout the Caribbean.

“The success of our partners this year is a reflection of their alignment with the strategy, training and programs that Avaya conducted in the past year to help them grow,” noted Roberto Ricossa, channels and marketing leader for Avaya’s Americas international region, which includes Puerto Rico.  “We are extremely exited for the opportunity we have today, along with our channels, for they are a fundamental key for our strategic growth.”

During the event, the company bestowed a total of seven awards to Avaya partners’ sales and presales teams. The recipients included Integration Technologies, with operations in Caguas, which walked away with six regional recognitions.

Technology veteran and Intech President, Abelardo Ruiz, received the “Best Senior Executive 2011” award, while the company’s Marketing Chief, Maribel López, walked away with the “Best Market Leader 2011” prize. Several other company officials also received awards in their categories, namely sales, engineering and operational support.

The Intech team of executives receives numerous awards during Avaya's regional event.

“The ‘connectandwin’ program is an excellent concept, including its great prizes. This Avaya program definitely creates great enthusiasm in our sales team, allowing our sales to grow at the same time that they receive prizes,” said Maribel López Méndez, marketing and partner manager for Intech’s Puerto Rico, Caribbean, and Central American markets. “Not only does it award the sales team but it also recognizes the pre-sales great efforts.”

Avaya also presented its strategies and portfolio for this year, including launching the second phase of its “connectandwin” program. Designed to recognize Avaya partners technical and sales teams for their success in closing sales, participation and specialization was also announced.  This program, which launched on July 19, 2011 already has 300 registered companies, more than 1,300 registered executives and has bestowed more than 450 awards in its first phase

Avaya officials also announced new elements for its channels program, “Avaya Connect,” most notably ROADS (Recruit, On-boarding, Authorize and Credentials, Develop, and Sustain). As part of its marketing strategy for supporting and adding value to the channel, the new integrated program allows partners to shorten the time for recovering their investment, thus increasing their productivity.  In addition, it allows for quick learning in sales and design of Avaya solutions, officials said.

“Our strategy this year for the Caribbean is based on preparing and enabling the channel to increase its technical and commercial capacities, the focused recruitment and our growth in geographical coverage in the region”, said Ana Noy, channels manager for Avaya Caribbean. “We congratulate our partners of the year for their efforts in supporting our clients, our companies and Avaya.”
