Fragrance and body care retailer Bath & Body Works is moving full steam ahead with plans to make its debut in Puerto Rico, where it will reportedly open three stores, at least two of them before year’s end — earlier than initially announced.

News is my Business has learned that contrary to what was announced in January, Bath and Body Works will open its first store in Plaza Las Américas in Hato Rey on Sept. 30, rather than at Plaza del Sol in Bayamón, where it will reportedly open Nov. 4.

A third location, slated for Plaza Carolina, is also in the works, but the opening date has yet to be revealed.

Attempts to reach Bath & Body Works for further details were unsuccessful.

And while Plaza Las Américas officials refrained from commenting on the retailer’s impending arrival, Plaza del Sol officials only confirmed that the store will open there in November — well ahead of the “early 2014” opening date established earlier this year.

In preparation for the upcoming store openings, Bath & Body Works is recruiting management staff, with six such positions posted on its website. The retailer is looking for store managers and co-managers for the three stores.

The California-based restaurant chain is known for known for its extensive menu, generous portions and legendary desserts.
