Belcorp, a multinational direct sales company within the cosmetics and beauty products, has been recognized as the world’s fifth best company to work by the “Great Places to Work” Institute. Belcorp is the only Latin American company that received this distinction.

During four decades, Belcorp and its three brands, L’Bel, Esika and Cyzone, have reached millions of women in Latin America, with a network of over a million of beauty consultants in 16 countries, including Puerto Rico. The company employs more than 8,500 people in the region.

In Puerto Rico, Belcorp was established 15 years ago. Through its network of beauty consultants, it sells and distributes its three brands in the local market. Its premium beauty brand, L’Bel, has a retail store at Plaza Las Américas shopping center.

“These are very good news that we would like to share with our beauty consultants, employees, clients and friends,” said Nivaldo Frutuoso, Belcorp’s manager for the Caribbean. “Our mission is to help people attain their personal goals through a better knowledge of beauty. This accolade is a proof of our passion for our brands, as well as our involvement with our associates and clients.”

To be on the list, the Institute assesses the results of two studies: the Trust Index and the Culture Audit Management Questionnaire. Two thirds of a company’s workplace culture assessment is based on the employee survey; one-third is based on the company’s policies and practices, as measured in the Culture Audit. More than 2,000 multinational corporations participated globally in the survey. Of these, 429 appeared on one of the Best Workplaces lists, conducted in countries ranging from Argentina to Finland to Australia. From that pool of companies, the 25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces are selected.
