Claro introduces iPad2 to portfolio of products

iPad 2

Telecommunications provider Claro announced Wednesday the availability of the trailblazing iPad2 mobile tablet, which it will market through payment plans allowing customers to finance it for 24, 36 or 48 months.

Claro President Enrique Ortiz de Monellano told News is my Business the purpose of introducing the tablet to its portfolio is to continue expanding the availability of wireless products to that segment of the population that may not have the money to pay for the iPad2 in one shot.

Furthermore, he said adopting the device is in line with the company’s philosophy of expanding the Internet’s reach. The iPad2 that Claro is marketing includes Wi-Fi capabilities.

“We’re taking new steps and launching new strategies to truly reduce the island’s digital divide with devices that truly promote and spur the use of Internet on the island,” the executive said.
