Liberty starts Choice Internet, phone platform switch

Liberty is integrating the Choice platform this month.

As part of its efforts to align its products and services, Liberty Puerto Rico has begun the migration of telephone and Internet customers belonging to the Choice platform to it’s own network.

The process will be conducted in phases through mid-November, the company announced.

Customers in Santa Isabel, Guayama, Ponce, San Germán, Mayagüez, Añasco and Aguadilla will be on Liberty’s platform, and will get to keep their phone numbers and current service features.

In anticipation for the change, the Choice call center’s platform was unified with the one used by Liberty at its call center, and customer service staff was trained to use the new programs, Liberty President Naji Khoury said in a statement.

“This migration will be of great benefit to all of our customers because it’s an important step toward becoming a single brand,” Khoury said. “The service activation process will be more agile. As a result, we’ll be able to offer faster Internet speeds and an excellent telephone service to Choice clients.”
