AT&T de Puerto Rico is looking to hire for nearly 60 jobs in Puerto Rico. More than half of the local openings are newly created jobs, mostly retail and business sales positions and are a result of AT&T’s continued investment in Puerto Rico, the company announced Monday.

“AT&T continues to expand its customer base in Puerto Rico and invest in our network to ensure we are providing the high level of service customers have come to expect of the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network,” said Ray Flores, regional vice president AT&T Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. “These jobs are part of our commitment to this level of customer service and to support our growth in Puerto Rico.”

AT&T offers competitive wages and benefits, and currently employs more than 1,600 employees throughout Puerto Rico and consistently hires new people.

AT&T is regularly recognized for training and development programs that are among the best in the country, the company said. In 2012, the company invested about $280 million in employee training and approximately $26.6 million in tuition aid. AT&T is committed to and has been recognized for diversity and veteran recruiting.
