Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino inaugurates Red Coral Lounge

The recently renovated Red Coral Lounge

The San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino recently inaugurated its popular lobby bar area, now known as the Red Coral Lounge, the result of a $2.3 million remodeling project begun in August 2011 that wrapped up in December.

The lobby bar is the latest in a string of renovation projects the Condado-area hotel has set-off in the last four years. The area, which got a full makeover, now features wood finishes combined with natural colors, textures and metallic details that create a warm atmosphere for guests to socialize, have intimate conversations or enjoy their favorite drink and good music.

“The renovation of our lobby completes the evolution of our iconic property into an elegant oasis in the heart of Condado,” said hotel General Manager Hans-Georg Rörhbein. “We’re committed to providing the best experience Caribbean cosmopolitan in the area — a task that not only includes outstanding customer service, but also extraordinary amenities and services.”

The Red Coral Lounge features pieces by local artists, including a coral reef made out of wood by sculptor Neftalí Maldonado, paintings by Carmelo Sobrino and a sculpture by Luis Torruella.
