Verdanza Hotel in Isla Verde, member of the Preferred Hotel Group, a collection of independent hotels worldwide, has completed its transition to the “lifestyle collection” of the new Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand.

The Preferred rebranding from a hotel group with multiple brands to a global brand with five distinctive collections represents the company’s commitment to help travelers better identify the hotel that will provide them with an experience in a fashion that meets their life and style preferences for each occasion, Verdanza executives said.

“Since its opening five years ago in 2009, Verdanza has placed emphasis on its status as an independently owned and operated property, not subject to global strict brand standards that do not reflect a genuine vibe,” said Ricky Newman, general manager of Verdanza Hotel.

Understanding that travelers have different objectives for each individual trip, each property within the new brand portfolio has been aligned with one of five collections —Legend, LVX, Lifestyle, Connect, and Preferred Residences. Addressing evolving consumer expectations and changing travel trends, the collections provide a more intuitive way for travelers to search, consider, and book travel by defining hotels based on the type of experience they offer. On the brand’s new website, travelers can search for a hotel by collection or by other preferences such as hotel name, experience, location and price point.

Verdanza Hotel, as a member of the Lifestyle Collection, is part of a diverse group of global properties that offer authentic, engaging stays featuring responsive service and local dining that articulate culture and style, the hotel said.

“The Preferred Hotels & Resorts Lifestyle Collection is a perfect fit to Verdanza’s visión,” added Newman. “Verdanza Hotel features offerings that are innovative — and one of a kind in a hotel in Puerto Rico — such as a creative room for corporate meetings, a program for guests with pets that includes an off-leash pet park with an agility course, and a recharging station for electric vehicles.”
